- Polyurethane tape is excellent in elasticity, which results in an excellent pressure effect
– Less bruising because there is no need to hold down
– Convenient and saves time and labor - Individual sterile packaging: hygienic / able to use right away
Example of using STEPTY (Hemostatic Compression Bandage)
Toxic substances may remain in alcohol swabs, which are currently used instead of STEPTY, due to the unsanitary cotton companies, poor environment during the manufacturing process, use of recycled cotton (cotton dust, residual thread) to reduce cost, and use of chemical products (NaOH) to bleach the recycled surface. Due to this hygiene problem, STEPTY is being used for patients in the emergency department, pulmonology, internal medicine department, neurosurgery, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, emergency room, intensive care unit, and anesthesiology unit.
How to use STEPTY
Open the sterile packaging in the direction of the arrow and take out the STEPTY.
You can peel it off easily if you peel off with the transparent film facing upward.
Just before removing the needle, align the dressing with the direction of the blood vessel and lightly paste it so that the wound is in the center of the pad.
Remove the needle while pressing the dressing lightly with your hand.
After removing the needle, press the dressing with your hand.
While strongly pressing the dressing to prevent it from moving, stretch the adhesive dressing and press it firmly with the other hand.
Taking care not to move the band, change the hand that was pressing down.
Attach the other side of the dressing in the same way.
(How it looks after the STEPTY is attached) Attach it so that the pad is completely covered.
